Development Background

Barnet Council granted planning permission for the redevelopment of the 20 hectare former Peel Police Training Centre site in 2015. The permission was part ‘outline’ and part ‘detailed’. The approved development includes:

• 2,900 homes;
• Neighbourhood centre;
• Primary school;
• Nursery;
• Health centre; and
• Four hectares of public open space

This will bring direct investment to Colindale, including:

• £37m Community Infrastructure Levy
• £11.2m tube station upgrade
• £1.5m Colindale Avenue street improvements

Plus: travel plan incentives, bus service improvements, Peel Link and local training for apprentices
