Permission granted for the development of 520 new homes

During a meeting of Luton Borough Council's Development Control Committee on 7th December 2016, members unanimously resolved to grant consent for Redrow Homes' application to build 520 new homes at Napier Park.

The scope of the Napier Park development had already been agreed by the Council in April 2015, when outline permission was granted for a vibrant mixed-use development. With this outline consent in place, Redrow's subsequent application, which was submitted to the Council in July 2016, sought permission to agree the access, appearance, layout, scale and landscaping details of the residential scheme.

The new consent will allow Redrow to develop this very challenging site, creating a vibrant new community.
